HőME
A Topography of Place
30–31 August 2025, Sculpture Lounge, Holmbridge
HŐME brought together photographers responding to the idea of “home” not as an interior or private space, but as something shaped by the external world around us. The exhibition looked outward – to built landscapes, forgotten corners, and the everyday structures that root us in place. Taking cues from the New Topographics movement, the work on display offered a clear-eyed, documentary approach to the familiar and the overlooked: suburban estates, industrial edges, commercial zones, spaces in flux.
Contributors explored four overlapping threads:
Personal yet Universal – local experience carrying wider resonance
A Changing Terrain – how environments shift and evolve
Home as Landscape – the ways in which place itself defines “home”
Unsentimental Familiarity – the everyday seen without embellishment
